Biafine emulsion can be used to treat:
- Erythema caused by radiotherapy;
- First- and second-degree (i.e. generally superficial) burns, as well as all other forms of uninfected skin damage.
Description:
Consisting of Trolamine and 75% of water, the emulsion creates and maintains a humid climate favorable to the cure of superficial and small burns, including sunburns.
Brings a calming sensation since the first application; It should be applied in a thick layer until the skin is discarded and should be repeated two to four times a day.
As its formula causes a semi-occlusive effect, it isolates the lesion from exogenous contaminations and controls the loss of water by perspiration.
Brings the water into the dermis and the thicker the applied layer, the greater the amount of hydration.
How to use:
For dermal application.
Dosage:
– To treat erythema caused by radiotherapy: use as directed by your doctor. As a guide, apply two or three times a day at regular intervals. Massage gently into the skin.
– To treat second-degree burns and other skin damage: consult your doctor urgently.
Clean the cut and apply thickly to the entire area. Repeat the application so that a certain amount of emulsion remains visible. If necessary, recover the cut with a wet-wrap dressing. (Do not use a dry, absorbent dressing.)
– To treat first-degree burns: in case of extensive burns, consult your doctor urgently. Apply thickly until the skin is saturated. Massage gently into the skin. Repeat between 2 and 4 times a day.
